March Principal's Message

The Theme for February focused on Kindness. Throughout the month students demonstrated random acts of kindness. Students showcased kindness through their words and through their actions. One of our classes went to local businesses and handed out flowers to patrons as a gesture of kindness.  We also focused on accepting everyone regardless of their differences. I am proud to say we have many students and staff within our school that come from many different places and backgrounds. We have students that can tell us what it is like to live in a different country, what it is like to have multiple surgeries, or even what it feels like to be the new student. We all have our “differences” that should be celebrated and not the means for a target.

As we look forward to spring, March is a busy month with a flurry of activities before we go on Spring break at the end of the month. We have a presenter, Steve Harmer, coming on Wednesday, March 14th for a school-wide presentation on building resiliency skills and being your best self. Report Cards will be sent home on March 14th also and Parent Teacher Interviews will be taking place on Tuesday, March 20th. Student Verification forms will be sent home with your child along with booking information for parent-teacher interviews. Queen Elizabeth Education Boosters Fundraising Society is up and running! They are planning a Chocolate Almonds Fundraiser that will be taking place before spring break. Money raised will be going toward class field trip expenses. More information to follow.

Please check out our website for all the latest information and updates from our classes and school activities. We are also on Twitter(@EcoleQueenE), Instagram(ecolequeene), and Facebook(EcoleQueenE). We look forward to seeing many of you at parent-teacher interviews. Spring is right around the corner!
